ATENÇÃO! I WILL COLLAPSE
26.09 – 10.10 2020 (Opening: September 26, 16:00)
On Saturday, September 26, OKNA is pleased to announce its first resident exhibition, “Atenção! I will collapse”. The show features the work of Olga Wardęga who explores the theme of texture and decay, proposing a series which reveals time-stretched structures, torn colors and urban disarray.
In “Atenção! I will collapse”, the theme is revealed through painting, photography and video. Following the concepts of decay, identity, and displacement, the artist becomes an urban explorer telling stories of time, non-obvious compositions and tinges of interpenetrating layers. The city and its abandoned edifices become the focus of photographic and video documentation work, leading to cultural assimilation and further painting searches.
