SAVE THE DATE! This Saturday, December 10th from SAVE THE DATE!

This Saturday, December 10th from 6pm to 9pm we invite you for Jurassic Wine Tasting, introduced by @waterylizard

Winnica KRESY is a winery located in southern Poland, in the region called Polish Jura,. Fifteen years ago Robert planted a small field of first shrubs. It was a quite unusual step, as back in 2007 in Poland the wine culture was barely emerging. Since then, he has developed a very unique brand, manufacturing distinguishable wines.

For the last few seasons Robert has been focusing on a specific wine-making technique which relies on a long maceration of white grapes and fermentation on wild [indigenous] yeast. All these process provoke deep colour and complex tastes and aromas, often making the wine particularly challenging.

For this Portuguese premiere we brought three amber wines:
BELEMNIT 2018, OKSFORD ZERO 2019 and KIMERYD ZERO 2019.

Fee: 8€ for tasting of the three samples.

They will be served with two types of paired artisanal goat cheese produced in that region.

“For many years I have been working with the Ukr “For many years I have been working with the Ukrainian LGBTQ community, its history, and its coexistence with a mostly homophobic and conservative Ukrainian society. In most of my projects the anonymity of the participants was a key requirement due to the inability to predict the consequences of a public coming out.

However, in the few years that I have lived outside of Ukraine, there have been significant changes in society. Large-scale equality marches began to take place, safe spaces were opened across the country, positive media coverage, and hope for hate crime laws emerged.

These were small but very important steps for the Ukrainian queer community. Yes, homophobia and transphobia are still quite common in all walks of life, but the queer community have embarked on a path to combat it — and are doing so successfully in many ways, including through their visibility.” - Anton Shebetko

Anton Shebetko - Three Kind Reminders
03.12 -- 17.12 2022

Adopting a queer lens, the exhibition has sifted through the discursive projects of the artist digging out a series of artworks, research materials and publications united in the way they speak to queerness in Ukraine. With a playful arrangement, these are kind reminders on international understandings of human rights, community, anger, and celebration.

Anton Shebetko is a Ukrainian artist and photographer from Kyiv. He currently lives in Amsterdam. He works closely with LGBTQ + topics, themes of memory, loss of identity, plurality of history, and the role that photography can play in revealing these stories. His extensive research is devoted to the forgotten queer history of Ukraine. His range of projects varies from installations and interventions dedicated to old cruising spots and underground gay resorts in Crimea to more relevant topics such as Ukrainian LGBTQ + soldiers.
